- This nixie clock is made as part of a special series MARS-2024, dedicated to the Elon Musk daring project - the flight of man to Mars in 2024; Our founder, Vadim Antonov, personally flew to the USA to give all three clocks from this series to Elon Musk and made it at the Tesla factory in California (find out more on our social pages); This model was designed and made by Peter Vasilyevich, our leading case designer. As conceived by the master, the model case embodies the surface of the Mars and the titanium taken as the basis is a sturdy metal which is widely used in rocket production

Rockets Launch tube clock nixie
“Rockets Launch” is one of three models of special MARS-2024 edition. This limited series is devoted to the Mars colonization project. This tube clock nixie can surprise a person who is interested in space exploration or loves retro design: metal elements look like spaceship parts and a fantastic Martian habitat, and this futuristic idea is complemented by original Soviet nixie tubes IN-14 and IN-18.
The concept of this clock represents Mars in the nearest future, when dreams about exploring the Red planet will come true:
Metal elements are made of titanium. This material is widely used in space industry due to its low density and high strength. When the clock is switched on, the nixie tubes shine with its soft light, and it seems that the “windows” of the “habitat” are lit and that somebody is “living” there.
Most of our clocks have blue illumination. In “Rockets Launch” we changed its color: “rockets” are lit in red, the “hab” is orange. Mars has become closer - you can touch it now!
